Oklahoma State defensive end Jamie Blatnick has pleaded guilty to an assault and battery charge that was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor.

Bartlesville Police Chief Tom Holland says his agency bought 55 rifles, magazines and ammunition in the wake of federal stimulus data indicating that Oklahoma law enforcement agencies are choosing to spend the money on weapons and other equipment instead of hiring officers.

Man Sentenced to Prison After Assault on Officer

OKLAHOMA CITY — Sonny Ray Haze, 28, Red Rock, was sentenced by United States District Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti to 18 months in federal prison for assaulting a tribal police officer using a car and causing serious bodily injury.

Theft Reported — A resident of the 800 block of South Eleventh Street reported at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday that coins and items from his residence were taken Wednesday morning. Ponca City Police took a report. At 10:29 a.m. the man contacted police again and said the woman was walking to his residence.
